London Eye
The London Eye offers a bird’s eye view of the British capital that must be seen to be believed. Formerly known as the Millennium Wheel, the Ferris wheel was opened in March 2000 and stands at 443 feet (135 metres). It is the biggest wheel of its kind in Europe, and has rightly become one of London’s most popular tourist attractions, receiving over 3.5 million visitors annually.
Located on the South Bank of the Thames, the London Eye is just a short tube trip away from the Kensington Forum hotel. Visitors to the London Eye are also close to other sightseeing attractions, such as Westminster Bridge, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
The London Eye is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm daily, and is open until 9:00pm between June and September. The Ferris wheel has 32 capsules that can accommodate up to 800 people, and for corporate and group bookings, a private capsule can be booked with room for up to 25 guests. The London Eye also offers a river cruise on the Thames to see many of the nearby sights.
